Week 17 – MasterMind

~Mastermind ~ “The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.”  (“No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind [the master mind].” – Napoleon Hill’s Definition.  RichRich.  This week brought upon an opportunity for me to come together with another mind, and it definitely created a third, so all of us set our attention to the application of the heros journey with a rekindled belief and a surge of confidence. The new mindset of being 100% honest, transparent, open and vulnerable is right up our alley!  So when Rich called me presenting a scenario he had brewing, I was more than ENTHUSIASTIC to accept and join the call to “mastermind.”   Answers to his questions I was able to provide as solutions flowed from him also not missing a stride.  We’ve become so excited about the actions that we plan to take and we are role-playing ourselves connecting with people in a whole new positive and successful manner.

First meeting comes and a breakthrough into Joe’s Hero seems to be made.  Yes, yes, oh definitely yes, I want to do something about it…he seems so pumped up.  We play a little 5 minute video and that just seemed to crank him up even more!  We left the meeting with an appointment for the following night for a live business presentation and he never shows, calls, nor return our call and text.  Things that make you go “Hmmmmmmm.”  Regroup…replay…re-read my notes.  Hmmmmm…confirm hero’s integrity might have been the thing I missed!?  Lesson learned…next time let’s try to confirm the hero’s integrity, eh?  (C’mon, I’m 20 miles from Canada 😉

Second meeting was setup 2 weeks earlier and we were masterminding what the heck we were going to do with both people coming in regards to how to concentrate on each of them.  We decided that we would just use it as a learning/training for he who we thought would be attending but solved our problem when he did not show.  By just being able to concentrate on our guest, we were able to once again, collaborate upon what the hero might be this time.  After the live business presentation it was like a spotlight showing the way and all systems are GO!

I’m sharing our stories because I know that some will read this and feel a certain connectivity to us.  Something will resonate between us, connect us and enable the channels to open among us and bring even more to us and to you.  Forming a mastermind was something that I wanted, I just couldn’t see how it was going to come about.  Then, Rich.  Then we are working toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.  MASTERMIND!  It’s about to get real.

Somebody give me a hug!

There has been so much more kindness in my life lately…hmmm…wait a minute again…  I am seeing a lot more kindness.  How cool is that?  Whatchya doing?  It’s called the Franklin Makeover.  In 1726, at the age of 20, Benjamin Franklin created a system to develop his character. He wrote out 13 virtues and, choosing one each week, he kept a note of how often he gave or received an act of such virtue.  In his autobiography, Franklin listed his thirteen virtues as:
Temperance. Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.
Silence. Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.
Order. Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.
Resolution. Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve.
Frugality. Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; i.e., waste nothing.
Industry. Lose no time; be always employ’d in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions.
Sincerity. Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and, if you speak, speak accordingly.
Justice. Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty.
Moderation. Avoid extremes; forbear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve.
Cleanliness. Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, cloaths, or habitation.
Tranquillity. Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable.
Chastity. Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another’s peace or reputation.
Humility. Imitate Jesus and Socrates.
~ Choose one each week.  Keep a note how often you give or receive an act of such virtue.  Let your new found awareness be a starting point for your change.

  1. Grasshopper has come along way in 17 weeks. “Your dream is calling” It can be hard to hear when you are actually living it. It wasn’t just our prospects that came alive when the dmp was discovered. You were like a skilled surgeon cutting back the layers until the treasure was revealed. Mahalo my friend. I tip my hat to the master

    1. Aw shucks….*my head is growing* ….stop it, you’re embarrassing me…BUT I am LOVING talking to people with a whole new agenda! You know what I am really loving? (I see you shaking your head)… sharing this part of our journey together!!!! Bless you my friend…you are just as much a part of this as I.

Just got done listening to Mark speaking about this very subject you are sharing about – I appreciate your enthusiasm, reality check and encouragement to see the positive side of master minding! Thanks for posting!!

    1. You bet Ursula! Thank you for stopping here, reading and sharing. I am hoping to help another that I reached out to with the mindset of give more get more. What an awesome world it would be if we all did! Bless you.

Awesomeness! Your’s was the third post that spoke on the success of MasterMinding. I haven’t yet linked up with a partner because things haven’t start coming around for me until just this week. I’m anxious to start looking for someone who has the same need as me. Know anyone?
